Realistically Elvis mainly did covers... but look at what he did with them? He made them ROCK! He made average songs by others memorable!!

I think the originals would have been tough to beat, but I would have liked him to have recorded Dolly's, I Will Always Love You in his own style.

And he should have done the New Seekers "I'd like to Teach the World to Sing." Another perfect song for the King. Not as good as Olivia Newton John. Too bad Olivia wasn't around in the 50's and 60s. Elvis could have built his whole repetoire around her...
